As a mental health treatment provider, there are many areas one can specialize in. For me, I’m especially passionate about the intake and assessment process- developing a comprehensive understanding of my clients as individuals and as people navigating many different relationships, roles, environments, and systems. I’m endlessly curious about how people function within all the different parts of their lives and how those pieces influence one another.

So, if you’re nervous about therapy and don’t know where to start, don’t worry- I’ll have plenty of questions to help get us talking, and your nervousness will likely disappear before you know it. And if you come in with lots of stories and examples to share instead, that’s perfect too. Everything you tell me helps me understand you more fully, and I am here for it!

Once I have a clear picture of what’s going on, I move into overdrive toward your treatment plan and your goals. Together, we’ll find the right balance- giving you the time and space to process your thoughts and experiences while also actively doing the work to help you feel better and move toward the life you want. And just maybe, as some of the numbness and heaviness of adulting begins to lift, you’ll feel like doing something completely fun and silly again- like a cannonball into a pool, just because you can. 🙂
